- son of Harry Marshall (born 1 Jun 1875) & Maud Ellen (née Whiteley)
- sister Lilian Marshall (born c1901)
Records:
- 1921 Census (FindMyPast) – 74, Crosland Road, Huddersfield, Lockwood (father Harry was a GPO postman)
Notes:
- not listed in CWGC so presumably survived the war
- born Q3 1918 Huddersfield (mother née Whiteley)
- father’s marriage was to “Mary Ellen Whiteley” in Q1 1900 (but she signed her name “Maud Ellen” and that’s the name used in Census returns)
- father served in WW1 (possibly York & Lancaster Regiment #4799) and mother died before 1939
- there’s a notable gap of 18 years between Eric and his older sister Lilian
