PADDOCK WEDDING
Lieut. R. G. Hogg – Miss Margaret Cuttell
The wedding took place at Paddock Wesley Methodist Church on Tuesday of Lieutenant Robert Gordon Hogg, of the Gordon Highlanders, son of Captain John Hogg (Merchant Navy) and Mrs. Hogg, of Kilmun, Argyllshire, and Miss Margaret Cuttell, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Cuttell, of St. James’s Road, Marsh. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. C. Ο. Ward and Dr. J. A. Findlay. Miss Sheila Cunningham was at the organ.
Given away by her father, the bride wore a dress of oyster satin, cut on classical lines, with a veil of hand-embroidered Brussels net. Her bouquet was of white carnations and heather.
Miss Molly Hoyle, the bridesmaid, was attired in a dress of mauve net, trimmed with taffeta, and carried a bouquet of pink carnations.
The reception was held at Whiteley’s cafe, after which the newly-married couple left for their honeymoon in the Lake District. The bride travelled in a fawn tweed costume with brown accessories.
