Now on the Victorian Society’s top ten buildings “at risk” list … this architectural gem designed by the Victorian William Henry Crossland ( famous for Rochdale Town Hall and Royal Holloway College ) is sadly crumbling away : perhaps it could have a sustainable future as an “upcycling” centre being next to the local Kirklees Council / SITA’s recycling facility – they should acquire it and develop such an eco-friendly initiative.
