Edge House’s great claim to fame is as the property at the centre of a dispute of great importance to the town, known as the Tenant-Right Question, between the Ramsden Estate and Mr Joseph Thornton, who built and occupied it. An account of the dispute is given elsewhere in Huddersfield Exposed.
