There were at least two different yards of that name — the one nearest to Black Lion Yard is this one which was marked as “Conner’s Yard” on the 1890 map: https://huddersfield.exposed/p/d36
This photo of Duke Street, looking towards Swallow Street, is probably the closest you’ll be able to find on the Kirklees Image Archive:

The other (O’)Conner’s Yard was reportedly situated off Kirkgate, but I’ve not been able to identify where it actually was.
