NEWS OF MEN IN THE FORCES
THESE ARE MISSING
A Marsden Mystery
The news that their son, Driver George Thomas Dodson, of the R.A.S.C., has been posted as missing since May 10 has been received with great surprise by Mr. and Mrs. G. Dodson, 72. Mount Road. Marsden, for there has been correspondence from him right up to the end of May, and they had reason to believe that he was in this country again. A post card reached Marsden from him on June 1 and this had been written by her son a few days previously. This was the last news they had received from him, and it makes the official news a little difficult to understand.
Educated at Marsden Council School, Driver Dodson is the third son of Mr. and Mrs. Dodson. He is twenty-four years of age. He was employed by Messrs. John Edward Crowther, Ltd., Bank Bottom Mills, Marsden, until he joined up. Some years ago he took part in one of the Marsden Parish Church Operatic Society’s productions.
