I don’t know the actual date of closure, but I’d suggest it was some time in the 1990’s rather than the 1970’s. I found a delivery note in there dated 1994: http://www.theviewfromthenorth.org/brook-dyeing-3

Many thanks for the correction! It was a former employee who told me it was sometime in the 1970s, so I’ve removed that sentence.
